LANDSCAPES
In my work, various drawing and painting disciplines intermingle. I combine pen, ink and watercolor on coarsely prepared linen or cotton. Then again I add threads, fabric and stitching and use different types of paint together. The link with the landscape tapestry from my earlier work Landscapes in Wool is never far away. Centuries ago, the tapestry was the medium for mythological representations and stories about battles and heroism. In line with this tradition, in this series I talk about the changes in the landscape due to human struggle.
